HP 15 -db0000 Laptop PC

I have an HP laptop I bought March 2019.  Today my laptop froze.  I followed the instructions to check the hard drive and when I tested it, the component test failed and I was given a 24 digit failure code.  My warranty expired on the laptop.  Are there any options for repairing this?

@EdenHaas

If you carefully write down the 24-character code and post it here, we can check it for you -- but in the case of failed drives, all it usually tells us is that the drive failed, it does not tell us how or why.

Failed drives can not be fixed, they must be replaced -- and while a new drive generally does not cost much, you are faced with the problem of removing and replacing the drive and using some media to then restore Windows to the new drive.

Because the warranty has expired, it is unlikely that HP will repair it, as they do repairs under the warranty.

We are not able, or permitted, to provide any repair estimates or equipment prices.

For this information, you would need to contact an HP Repair or Service Center.

Since you live in the U.S., here is a link to the HP Service Repair Centers:
https://www.service-center-locator.com/hp-hewlett-packard/hp-hewlett-packard-service-center.htm

If that link does not provide you sufficient information, then use the main HP link:

Good Luck
