Having trouble in system boot, getting a blank screen when trying to boot. I tried through USB image to boot but still it's same. Later I checked hard drive tests and getting SMART CHECK: PASSED and SHORT DST: FAILED.
Before that due to this issue, I tried to re-install OS and the system worked fine for a few days and when I tried to restart after that system is not booting now anymore.
Attached is the image with error and failure id.

You're very welcome.
Yes, a SSD should work fine in your notebook.
You can check the crucial memory report site and it should tell you a SSD is compatible.
I found this Crucial report for the 15-n200 model series...their website isn't working right now, so I had to post the link to the cached page...if you scroll to the bottom you can see they offer compatible SSD's for sale for the model series.

Hi:
You will need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

That I would not be able to tell you.
There is an old saying...it is not a matter of if a hard drive will fail, but a matter of when.
Usually heat is the worst enemy of notebook hard drives.
You may want to consider replacing the mechanical hard drive with a better performing, normally more reliable solid 2.5" state drive.
SSD's in the 500 GB capacity are pretty reasonably priced.
