When i first bought the laptop is was working fine , but then i decide to experiment and switched to linux mint and then to linxu ubuntu and then i started having the energy drain problem so i thought that it was a linux problem(which it was), so I made the switch back to windows and it started to give battery life of 120mins of 100% charges and then i recalibrate it after that i run the energy and found the actual error That my PCIe ASPM is incompletable with the hardware and it is not letting the usb device sleep and it is drain battery very fast

@GSB864, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the PCIe ASPM!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It’s great that you’ve done some deep digging and identified the PCIe ASPM (Active State Power Management) incompatibility. This setting can indeed cause issues when it doesn't align well with the hardware, especially affecting USB devices' ability to enter sleep mode—ultimately leading to faster battery drain.
Since you're back on Windows, I’d recommend checking for the latest BIOS and chipset driver updates from HP Support Assistant or our HP Drivers page. These updates can sometimes improve power management compatibility. Also, try disabling PCIe ASPM via advanced power settings in Windows as a temporary workaround to stabilize battery usage.
Let us know how it goes or if you need help with the steps—we're here for you!
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
