How do I change startup boot on hp laptop 17-cp3xxx

I stated with F12, and F2, and they did not work.  RETURN did not work, BUT F10 did work.  Main reason was changing startup was to install Ubuntu Unity 25.04.

@DocJohn1,

 

Try the F9 boot menu option.

 

Start the notebook and immediately tap the F9 key.

 

Select a usb flash drive (or a usb hard drive) and hit the Enter key to boot from the usb drive.
