hp 14-EP0063CL laptop screen opens with "Preparing automatic repair", next screen says Your PC did not start correctly. Press restart or advanced options. I press restart, and it just goes to same message after retarting. I do not understand the other choice: Advanced Options. This laptop is covered under Costco 2 yr warranty, but the hp support screen only says 1 year warranty is expired. Is there another support group for the 2nd year of warranty?

Hi @intelcorei31, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your laptop. The "Preparing automatic repair" loop can be frustrating. Let's try to resolve this together.
The "Advanced Options" menu provides several tools that can help fix startup issues. Here are some steps you can follow:
Startup Repair:
- Select Advanced Options.
- Choose Troubleshoot.
- Select Advanced Options again.
- Click on Startup Repair. This tool will attempt to fix issues that are preventing your PC from starting correctly.
System Restore:
- If Startup Repair doesn't work, go back to the Advanced Options menu.
- Select System Restore. This will allow you to restore your system to a previous state when it was working correctly. You'll need to choose a restore point.
Uninstall Updates:
- Sometimes, recent updates can cause issues. In the Advanced Options menu, select Uninstall Updates.
- You can choose to uninstall the latest quality update or the latest feature update.
Command Prompt:
- If you're comfortable with command-line tools, you can use the Command Prompt option in the Advanced Options menu to run commands that might fix the issue.
Reset This PC:
- As a last resort, you can use the Reset This PC option. This will reinstall Windows but gives you the option to keep your personal files. Note that this will remove installed apps and settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
