my laptop wont turn on but charging light is on. one mother board light briefly turns on when i hit the power button. please help.

Hi,

Can you provide the exact model of the notebook or product number? Here is how to find it

You can first try performing a power reset of the notebook. Here you can see the procedures.

Are you sure the ac adapter is providing power?  Try a different wall outlet?

 i tried hard reset but nothing happened. 

one mother board light briefly turns on when i hit the power button

there is no response no fan starting

OK. You will need to take to a repairs shop as it could be a motherboard problem. I mean there are a lot of things you can try, such as reseating RAM, try without the hard drive and other internal components connected to the motherboard...

But most likely it is not going to be something easy.
