Hi @pranam4

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

It's common for laptops to ramp up their fans during heavy usage or when temperatures rise. If the fan noise lasts for just a minute every 20-30 minutes, it may simply be a normal response to heat, especially during tasks like gaming or video streaming.

1. Monitor Performance

  • Task Manager: Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to see if there are any processes using a lot of CPU or memory when the fan kicks in. This can help identify if specific software is causing the issue.

2. Check for Dust or Obstructions

  • Ventilation: Ensure that the laptop's vents are not blocked and that there's no dust buildup. This can impact cooling performance.
  • Placement: Use the laptop on a hard, flat surface to allow for proper airflow.

3. Update Drivers and BIOS

  • Make sure your BIOS and all drivers, especially for the chipset and graphics, are up to date. You can check the HP support website for the latest versions.

4. Power Settings

  • Go to Settings > System > Power & battery and check your power plan settings. Adjusting them to Balanced may help reduce fan activity.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

But now the fan noise lasts 5-7 minutes in every 10-15 minutes of uses and sometimes lasts for 10 minutes.

most important thing is that this is happening while I am doing normal task like reading article in website.   as an example, I am facing this problem while i am writing this reply.  I have not run anything as heavy task as gaming

I also applied the solution number 1,2,4 given by you in previous reply
