Hi @DesiBattle,

Welcome to the HP support community.

Thanks for sharing the details. The error code "i 74452038" you're seeing after three incorrect password attempts on your HP Pavilion x360 indicates that your system is locked with a BIOS or power-on password, and the code is a System Disabled hash used to generate a master unlock key.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • Removing the CMOS (watch) battery no longer clears BIOS passwords on most modern HP laptops, including the Pavilion x360 series.
  • HP uses enhanced security that stores the password in non-volatile memory, which is not reset by battery removal.

Please help us with your HP unit serial number or the product number in a private message for further assistance.

Hi @DesiBattle,

Thank you for sharing the PC details. Based on what I see, the warranty expired back in 2019, and the device has since reached end-of-life support. This means that HP no longer offers hardware or software assistance for this model.

That said, I’d still like to try and help. If you could share an image of the screen you're seeing, I’ll take a closer look and let you know whether it might be fixable. If not, I’ll do my best to guide you on what options are available from here.

Keep me posted

Regards
