I have a hp pavilion x360, I unplugged the watch battery and the battery and it still gives me a prompt for a password. after three misses I get this error.  i 74452038

Thanks for sharing the details. The error code "i 74452038" you're seeing after three incorrect password attempts on your HP Pavilion x360 indicates that your system is locked with a BIOS or power-on password, and the code is a System Disabled hash used to generate a master unlock key.
 

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • Removing the CMOS (watch) battery no longer clears BIOS passwords on most modern HP laptops, including the Pavilion x360 series.
  • HP uses enhanced security that stores the password in non-volatile memory, which is not reset by battery removal.
     

Please help us with your HP unit serial number or the product number in a private message for further assistance.
