Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hp probook 450 g6 equiped with fingerprint and I see the message: fingerprint is not available.

Did you buy Finger print option for your machine ? The whole series specs:

And  HP Fingerprint Sensor (sold separately or as an optional feature).

 

If NOT, your machine has a small window BUT no sensor inside underneath the keyboard (right hand side)

 

If you wish, you can buy

 

  • Fingerprint sensor assembly part # L45096-001
  • NOTE:The fingerprint sensor cable is available in the Cable Kit using spare part number L45087-001.

Same problem, I guess. Fingerprint device is present on the laptop, and it even works at Windows start-up, but only says that I have to register fingerprints via HP Security software. And within the program, there stays that this device is not connected. How to connect / enable this Fingerprint device?
