Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Have run all UEFI test and no faults reported.  Ran complete HD and all other component tests.  No fault codes to report.  (use power on+esc to get to diagnostic screen)

Booted from external USB drive.  instead of loading the old bbackup image, I selected to boot the computer, got no boot drive found!   I have the HP thumb drive available but do not want to loose any data since backup is one year old.  Want to get this booted.  the original message seen before boot to black screen was "Teedriver x64,  crash dump. " if you have not seen this before reboot your computer. Now just get black screen.

Thanks for pointing me to the useful information about servicing the notebook.  I followed all of the steps in the article you referenced and that made no difference in my boot issue.    I finally restored the windows 7 to an older backup and had to reinstall all the programs that were not backed up since July of 2017.    Thanks for your suggestions now I am assured that the components can be accessed and were inspected and found to be outside of the scope of my issue.    Again thanks for the information.
