I got Pavilon dv7 and SSD Intel 535 and for some time now during start up I have after Win logo a black screen for about 90 seconds black screen and than finally login screen appears.
Does anyone know if anything can be done about it?

A really SLOW PC is almost always due to a failing drive.
If your PC is new enough to support UEFI, you can use these steps to test the hard drive: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00439024
If not, to check the drive you have to follow these steps:
1) Press Esc key repeatedly, several times a second, while rebooting the laptop. Do NOT hold the key down, just press it over and over.
2) Eventually, you will see an HP Startup Menu
3) Press the Function key for testing the hard drive (usually F2) and let it run.

Hi,
Unfortunately this doesn't help me, according to the link you sent I can't perform the test on my SSD drive (it's working very well regardless those 90 sec of black screen before the log in screen), and as for UEFI support how can I check if my laptop support it? Theoretically it should, depending on the manufacture date, but have read that this option can be block sometimes by the producer.
