HP OmniBook X Flip 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop Next Gen AI PC 16-ar0000 (B49B9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

the issue with my laptop showing a “memory training required” blue screen pop up has returned

I do not perform the required training because the last time I did it the laptop locked up completely and it stook HP support a long time to get it unlocked

I've had this problem before and each time I have been told by HP support that it has been resolved. However, that is not the case as it continues to resurface.

ion 5/6 laptop was taken to Best Buy, where it was purchased

on 5/27 the unit was returned to me --- Motherboard was replaced under warranty plan

mid to late July the “memory training required” error message came back

I noticed that there was a BIOS update available and went ahead with the update

Insyde F.13 was installed, which cleared the problem

on 8/7 the “memory training required” error message came back

the laptop warranty has expired, but this has been on ongoing problem since March of this year

In this case only suitable step i can provide is contact HP support directly and ask for replacement or repair because Even if the normal warranty has expired, emphasize that the fault was first reported during the warranty period and that HP performed a motherboard replacement. Keep the previous service record, HP case numbers, repair invoice, dates, photos, and diagnostic failure IDs or whatever you have to show them.  Request that HP register this as a repeat unresolved defect/previous repair recurrence, rather than as a new out-of-warranty problem.

Ask HP to treat it as a repeat failure of a previous warranty repair or continuation of an unresolved case, rather than a new paid repair. Open this link- https://support.hp.com/us-en/ then select your region from the bottom and choose contact hp agent directly. Depending on your region it may or may not be harder to contact. Look for online chat or call. (Don't purchase anything of shown there and don't chat with ai/bots)

Note: If HP to reopen or cover the case, do not immediately authorize a paid repair. First request a cost estimate. If the fault involves the motherboard, integrated memory controller, or another major component, the repair cost may not be worthwhile; in that situation, avoiding the repair and purchasing a new laptop may be the better option.
