HP Recommended

I bought my laptop from Costco in September 2024.   All of a sudden my monitor stopped working.  There is no damage or event.  It was extremely disheartening and frustrating to discover the warranty just expired one month ago!  Upon searching online, this model has a known hinge/screen defect and open l ongoing class action awsuits.  I am therefore asking for a goodwill exception.  Thank you in advance.  It is the hp 15.6 in. touchscreen altptop intel core 8e-12a5U   The serial number on the back is too faint to see.   The screen is flashing with lines across it making its use or troubleshooting impossible.
