my hp envy x360 laptop screen is black and the charge light is on even after unplugged ..it is not getting switched on but remains hot at bottom

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

 

(1) Double check with external monitor connected via vga/hdmi cable. Same black screen on external monitor ?

- Power off notebook (press and hold <power> button until notebook switches off )

- Power off external monitor

- Connect vga/hdmi cable

- Power on external monitor

- Power on notebook

 

(2) If it still fails continue with (3)

(3) Power off notebook (press and hold <power> button until notebook switches off )

(4) Disconnect charger

(5) Press and hold <power> button for 30 seconds

(6) Connect charger

(7) Please report your results
