Hi @Sivad07,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Run Battery Diagnostics:
- Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI to test the battery before Windows starts.
- Disconnect the AC adapter and turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press esc repeatedly, then press F2 on the startup menu.
- Select Component Tests > Power > Battery and click Run once.
- Review the battery status and take necessary actions based on the results.
Inspect and Clean the Vents:
- Ensure that vents and cooling fans are free from dust and debris.
- Use compressed air to clean the vents.
Update BIOS and Drivers:
- Make sure the BIOS is up-to-date.
- Update all relevant drivers, especially for the GPU and power management.
Restore BIOS Defaults:
- Turn off the laptop, then repeatedly press the esc key to access the startup menu.
- Press F10 to open BIOS settings.
- Restore BIOS to default settings to ensure proper configuration.
Configure Power Settings:
- Check power settings in Windows to ensure the laptop is not set to shut down when the battery is at a particular level.
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options and set to Balanced or Power saver.
Test with AC Adapter:
- Plug in the AC adapter and check if the issue persists.
- The battery might be failing if the laptop works fine on AC power.
I hope this helps.
