Hello all, looking for info about this notebook.
This afternoon the wall outlets at my place went down like sometimes happens but this time it affected badly my father's laptop (it was on when happened). It doesn't boot in any condition, no sign of lifewhatsoever (with battery, without, with ac adapter and battery, with ac without battery, after removing battery holding power button for 15s then reinserting battery and ac, after removing battery for longer period)
The light on the side of the ac adapter power port blinks 3 times when I press the power button with battery inserted (with or without ac adapter). Unfortunately I can't try with a different ac because we just have the one. Suggestions?
Could it be just the power cable or some hardware's dead?
Thanks

Hi @bumba85,
I read the post and the quick reply. Thanks for replying. As @The_Fossette is out of office for today I am responding on his behalf. Great effort and brilliant troubleshooting were done. Kudos to you for that.
Please check with a different power cord at a local store to isolate the issue further. Please keep me posted. hope the issue is with the power cord only.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay. I took some days off to go skiing 🙂
I'm more and more convinced that is the power cable. Nothing's from the link worked.
Tomorrow morning I'll bring the laptop to a store or something to check with a new cable...
