Hi,  bit help needed please,  since updated my laptop to windows 10 it just will not shut down, i have tried all the usual power options etc but if I am on it longer than half an hour and shut down, the screen goes off but nothing else, power button still lit up and discs whirring, i always have to shut down by holding the power button in for several seconds.

I have searched the forums and seen downloads for EMEI driver, but not sure if this is the same driver for all laptops, or if this will actually fix the problem and not cause any other problems.

Any help would be appreciated as I am getting nowhere with HP, Thanks

Hi WAWood,  Thank you so much, I tied the steps you suggested and downgraded the IME driver and so far that seems to have fixed the problem 🙂  Thanks for your help  :generic:
