Hi @DAVISONYANCHA ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you've tried several troubleshooting steps without success. The issue you're describing might be related to hardware, particularly the display or the motherboard.
Here are a few more steps you can try to diagnose and possibly resolve the issue:
External Monitor Test:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV using an HDMI or DisplayPort cable. This will help determine if the issue is with the internal display or something else.
- If the external monitor works, the issue is likely with the laptop's display or display connections.
Check RAM:
- Power off the laptop, unplug it, and remove the battery if possible.
- Open the back cover and reseat the RAM modules. If you have two RAM sticks, try booting with one at a time to see if one of them is faulty.
Check for Loose Connections:
- Ensure all internal cables and connections are secure. Sometimes a loose cable can cause display issues.
Clear CMOS:
- Disconnect the battery and power adapter.
- Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds to clear any residual charge.
- Look for a CMOS battery on the motherboard (it looks like a coin cell battery). If you can safely remove it, do so for a few minutes, then reinsert it.
Boot in Safe Mode:
- Since you're not getting a display, this might be tricky, but you can try to boot into Safe Mode by pressing F8 repeatedly after powering on the laptop. This might help if the issue is related to software or drivers.
Check for Overheating:
- If your laptop has been overheating, it could cause display issues. Ensure the fans and vents are clean and free from dust.
