Hello! Recently, I have been receiving the "Boot Device Not Found (3F0)" error starting around 2 months ago. This issue would give me a black screen with the "Boot Device Not Found (3F0)" error code. At first, I would exit the diagnostic screen, and my computer would reboot and function just fine. However, the problem worsened as I began seeing the BSOD much more frequently as I was doing tasks, and the "Boot Device Not Found (3F0)" screen would additionally appear much more frequently if I left my computer on idle after a period of time. Therefore, I tried running a quick hard drive test on the 3F0's diagnostics screen. However, when I tried running the test, the test would say "No hard drive installed. Please make sure your hard drive is installed properly". I tried running this test multiple times when the "Boot Device Not Found" error kept occurring, but kept displaying the message that there was no hard drive installed. Therefore, I opened up the computer and decided to detach and reattach the hard drive to the hard drive connector. After a week with no issues, I thought the issue was fine. However, the computer would begin showing the BSOD frequently again, as well as the "Boot Device Not Found (3F0)" error again. I tried detaching and reattaching the hard drive, however, this method would only work temporarily. The most confusing part, however, was that I ran a hard drive optimization test in the File explorer -> Hard Disk -> Properties  -> Tools -> Error Checking, the test would result in stating that the hard drive was completely fine. This issue would worsen until the present day, when my laptop would continue to crash and show the "Boot Device Not Found" error even after my computer crashed during laptop usage.

I recently ran a HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI Test to continue to identify the issue. The Quick Checks for the Hard Drive SSD Smart Check and SSD Wear Check, as well as the Hard Drive SSD Short DST Check passed. However, the extensive check for the Hard Drive SSD DST would give me a "Warning", and states that I need to take recommended action. I ran the extensive check two more times and it has gave me the same error.

Some more key pieces of information is that I have my BIOS updated, as well as all other components updated as well. I would also like to state that my CPU and GPU, and all other components seems to be okay as well. Lastly, the BSOD and the Boot Device error seems to be miscellaneous, and seems to be occuring when I am idling for a period of time, or when I am running intensive computer tasks.

I would like some advice or information on how to proceed with this issue, whether it is the hard drive itself that is the issue or other components of the computer that is causing this issue. Lastly, I would greatly appreciate on some insight if I should repair my computer through a repair shop or HP's service center, or if I should invest on a new electronic. I apologize this post for being lengthy, as I would like to be informative and honest as possible. Thank you very much for your time in reading my issue, and I hope you have a great rest of your day.
