Hello everyone,
Earlier today I made a backup of all my files in order to do a factory reset on my laptop.
I did the factory reset and everything was great until I saw that the speakers were not being recognised. So, I went to the hp page of the available drivers for my laptop and downloaded the audio driver and it solved the problem.
Then, I thought this driver was probably not the only one missing and I decided to download all of the drivers, being the first one on the page the BIOS updater. I continually pressed next while installing the BIOS updater and ended up updating the BIOS.
Now, my laptop won't boot. When I turn it on it appears this message:
"Boot Device Not Found
Please install an operating system on your hard disk
Hard Disk (3F0)
F2 System Diagnostics
For more information,..."
I already performed a memory test and a hard drive check and everything appears to be ok. Then, I tried to press F10 to restore the old version of BIOS (I saw it in some post of this forum), but there is a blue box that asks for me to "Enter Administrator Password" and I have no idea what this is or what it might be.
What can I do to have my Windows-10 running laptop back? Thank you in advance

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
- Step 1: Perform a hard reset (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)
- Step 2: Restore BIOS default settings
- Step 3: Test the hard drive using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
- Step 4: Reseat the hard drive
- Step 5: Perform an HP System Recovery
- Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01443463 to complete the troubleshooting steps.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
