HP Notebook - 15-da0301tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Sometimes when I start my laptop it displays a boot option screen and I usualy just have to press enter then it continues to load windows. The screen shows the following link at the bottom "www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup" The virtual agent was no help. I don't even know what this screen is called, but I would like to know if I can bypass it so my pc boots straight into windows without forcing me to intervene by pressing the enter button.

I did the BIOS default option which solved the issue. I didn't need to the Reset PC Keep my files from windows option.

Thanks very much,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Notebook displays boot option screen when boot up.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try doing BIOS default:

  • Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  • Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  • On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  • Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  • Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  • Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
  • If issue still persist then do Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
