spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My spectre x360 13-ae035ng does not load its battery any longer. The power adapter has been checked on another unit and seems to be ok. The power LED blinks three times in a long interval. I have not found any information about this code. There is no blinking caps lock button or any other keyboard LED. Furthermore there is no sound audible. Sometimes the On button LED is on in white for a short period.

The battery is empty and the notebook does not boot up anymore. After a search on the HP support pages I found the following document Document ID: c05947717. This requires an update of the BIOS during the running of windows. Which in fact does not work any longer (s. a).

Pressing the power button for at least 12 sec. without attached power adapter does not lead to a boot,

Pressing the power button for at least 5 sec. with attached power adapter does not lead to a boot.

Pressing the windows, B and power button does not lead to a recover of the BIOS.

So some questions come into mind:

- How to flash the BIOS when the notebook does not charge any longer?

- Does the notebook boots without attached battery? Removal is explained in the maintenance manual.

- What does the blinking of the power LED mean?

Searching the web does not lead to a solution.

Any hints which might help solving this issue?
