20230509_202216.jpgSo i just called out of warranty support and the gentleman told me they do not use the DMI Tool any longer.  He said I have to pay to have my  computer shipped to service.  I told him I just need to update the "Product Information" in the BIOS.  There isn't anything wrong with the computer.  Further more, the gentleman told me to search online to find the DMI Tool.  I told him I don't want to end up downloading MALWARE.  This is so extremely frustrating.....

Hello,

So no one can help me?  I thought we have a right to repair?  HP won't give me access to the tool I need to repair this laptop.  I thought I caused this problem, but found out that this has been going on BEFORE I upgraded it.  I thought "my laptop is slow" was caused by the common slow spinning Hard Disk, low amounts of RAM and junk built up in the Windows OS.  I Upgraded it with more RAM, a SSD and a fresh new OS and it's still slower than a raspberry Pi.  It also won't charge while powered on.  It also gets the "System Board (00A) - System Board CT Number" error.  so "product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid" is causing my laptop to be unusable?  And I can't fix it unless I send it to a HP service center?  I been working on computers for 30 years and never seen crap like this.  What's up HP?  Right to repair?  I Just want to fix my computer please.

Won't someone just give me access to the program to fix the software please?  This is so unfair.
