Hi @Singh2025

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing that—seeing a system fan (90B) warning at startup can be a bit unsettling, but we’ll walk through it together. That message usually means the cooling fan isn’t behaving as expected, and your notebook is trying to protect itself from overheating.

Let’s try a few steps to get things back on track:

🧹 Step 1: Clean the Air Vents

  • Power off the notebook completely.
  • Use compressed air to gently blow through the side and bottom vents.
  • This helps remove dust that might be blocking airflow or slowing the fan.

🔄 Step 2: Perform a Hard Reset

  • Disconnect all external devices and unplug the power adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power and turn the notebook back on.

🧠 Step 3: Update the BIOS

  • Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your product name and select Windows 11 as your OS.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS update available.
  • Restart your notebook after installation.

🔍 Step 4: Inspect Fan Behavior

  • If you're comfortable opening the notebook, check that:
    • The fan blades spin freely.
    • No wires or debris are obstructing the fan.
    • The fan connector is securely attached to the motherboard.
  • If you're unsure, a technician can help with this part.

🧊 Step 5: Place Laptop on a Hard Surface:

  • Ensure the laptop is placed on a hard, flat surface to improve airflow and prevent overheating.

If the warning keeps popping up even after these steps, it might be time to consider a fan replacement. But fingers crossed—we’ll get it sorted before that’s necessary. Let me know how it goes or if you'd like help with any of the steps!
