model falco c2b-f2j-d2s
Product F0H09UA
hp 14-q063cl
(chrome os is missing or damaged. please insert a recovery usb stick or sd card)
the chromebook isn't booting. i successfully created a chromos bootable memory stick using the creation tool, and when i use it the operating system "verifies the integrity of my recovery media", then, "an unexpected error has occurred". nothing wrong on my end as far as the recovery media is concerned
so i am trying to boot any operating system off the usb. since the operating system is damaged, the device doesn't respond as expected. i tried ctrl-d to boot off another o.s., but then it says ... doesn't contain a chrome os
so i looked for a way to take out the ssd so i could reformat it and reimage it on another device, however, there are no instructions on hp support or anywhere else on how to do this. there isn't even any video of what type of ssd is in the device, much less a manual to tell us how to remove / replace it
i don't have physical access to the ssd. i can't boot to usb. the o.s. will not use the repair media. any suggestions ?

update:
i finally found the kahunas to service this unit; it appears the ssd got fried because the exhaust vents were clogged up
i installed the ssd in a known good m.2 port on a desktop, and it was not accessible from bios
i tried to install win 10 on it, but windows only saw a 0 size hard drive
so it appears these chromebooks are poorly designed as they can't be cleaned without taking them apart
then, if you don't clean the vents, the chips get fried
new question:
is there an upgrade for this part ? does anyone know if i can replace this with a 128gb nvme ssd

there are several other people with this same issue, and the accepted solution is "contact hp service center"
that's the answer because of this overheating issue with the clogged exhaust port
the unit needs to be cleaned, and the ssd replaced
