Hello, I am the owner of an HP Pavilion 15 n026er laptop from 2014. I need to install Windows 8.1 because the drivers from the official website do not support dual graphics in Windows 10. My discrete graphics card, Radeon 8670M, is recognized by the system, but applications and games only work on my integrated graphics card, Radeon 8600, which puts a heavy load on the CPU and makes work/gaming impossible.
The Windows 8.1 installer doesn't detect my HDD and requests driver media.
Please provide me with detailed instructions on how to unlock advance bios settings to change SATA configurations. Alternatively, provide me with a link to SATA drivers that I can integrate into my installation media (USB flash drive) and select during the installation.
To save both your time and mine, here are the following details:
BIOS version/date: Insyde F.20, 3/14/2017
SMBIOS Version 2.7
BIOS Mode: UEFI
BaseBoard Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
BaseBoard Product: 2170
BaseBoard Version: 31.25
All hardware is in perfect working condition; the hard drive and graphics card are fully functional at 100%.

Hi Lisov,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are looking to unlock the advanced Bios settings HP Pavilion 15 n026er laptop
I have a few recommendations
To Access Advanced BIOS Settings in HP
- Restart your Computer. Stop whatever you are doing.
- Enter BIOS Settings. Press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup menu opens.
- Power Off/ Restart your Computer. Power off or restart your computer again, and this time press F9.
- Press F10 and Get the Advanced Tab.
If you find the Advanced settings tab missing in the BIOS, that is because HP has locked the settings on your computer as the improper use of the Advanced settings in BIOS could damage your computer, and in most cases, there is no way to unlock it
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
