Hi I am trying to help my neighbor. Her laptop gave her the error of no bootable disk. I suggested after looking some things up to replace her hd. We did that and we get the same error. I assume that she did not create any recovery media. Can we get that now. I went to MS with the product key and MS message was the software was pre-installed by the device manufacturer and get help from them. How can I get a bootable media for her computer.

Here is the link to the W7 Home Premium English 64 bit ISO file download.

I have also zipped up and attached the Microsoft utility below, that you need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable.

 

HP no longer sells recovery media for the dv6 model series, so your only other option would be to purchase recovery media from this vendor at the link below.

 

Recovery disks are model-specific, so you need to enter the exact model number of the notebook in the search box.
