HP Laptop PC 14-d2000 (2D126AV)

My Windows won't boot. I have a laptop '14 dq 2026la

It freezes on the first black screen with the HP logo. It makes a loop from black screen to blue screen

It's impossible to use F11, it stays on a black screen without progressing. I tried several ways.

I finally tried to reinstall Windows, but it still didn't allow me, it gives an incompatibility report

I added photos.

Hi @martinar1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop is stuck in a boot loop with the HP logo and isn't progressing beyond the black screen or allowing you to use the recovery options, here are a few steps you can try.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Power Off: Shut down your laptop completely. If it's frozen, press and hold the power button for about 10-15 seconds until it turns off.
  • Disconnect: Unplug the power adapter and remove any connected external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  • Battery Removal: If possible, remove the battery. Wait for about 30 seconds before reinserting it.
  • Power On: Reconnect the power adapter and try turning on your laptop.

Check for External Peripherals

  • Disconnect all external peripherals (USB drives, external hard drives, etc.) and try booting again. Sometimes, peripherals can cause conflicts during boot.

Access BIOS/UEFI Settings

  • Restart your laptop and try accessing the BIOS/UEFI settings by pressing ESC, F2, F10, or F12 (depending on your model) repeatedly during startup.
  • Check Boot Order: Ensure that the boot order is correct, with the internal hard drive listed first.
  • Reset to Default: If you can access the BIOS/UEFI, consider resetting settings to default.

Run Hardware Diagnostics

  • If you can access BIOS/UEFI, look for an option to run hardware diagnostics. This can help identify if there's a hardware issue affecting the boot process.

Attempt Safe Mode

  • Try to access Safe Mode by repeatedly pressing F8 or Shift + F8 during boot. If successful, Safe Mode may allow you to troubleshoot or perform a system restore.

Check for Boot Media

  • Ensure you have the correct boot media if you're attempting a reinstall. You may need a bootable USB or DVD with Windows installation files. Verify that the media is properly created and try booting from it.

Update Firmware

  • If you have access to another computer, check HP's support website for your laptop model to see if there's a firmware update available. This can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
