Hi @mastertech1,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Envy x360 15" powers on briefly but shows no display, the fan spins for a couple of seconds, and then the system shuts off. Let’s go through a few steps to troubleshoot this.

Perform a Hard Reset
○ Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
○ Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds to drain residual power.
○ Reconnect only the power adapter and try turning on the laptop.

Check External Display
○ Connect an external monitor via HDMI or USB-C.
○ Power on the laptop to see if any image appears.
○ If the external display works, the issue could be with the internal screen or display cable.

Reset RAM and Internal Connections
○ If you’re comfortable opening the laptop, reseat the RAM modules and check internal connectors (display, battery, motherboard).
○ Ensure nothing is loose or damaged.

Test Without Battery
○ Disconnect the battery and try powering on the laptop with the AC adapter only.
○ If it powers on normally, the battery or charging circuitry may be causing the shutdown.

Check Power Indicators & Beeps
○ Listen for beep codes or LED blink patterns, they indicate hardware failures (motherboard, GPU, or memory).

BIOS / Firmware Recovery
○ Some HP Envy models allow BIOS recovery via key combination (Win + B + Power).
○ If attempted, follow HP’s official BIOS recovery procedure.

I hope this helps.
