wanna upgrade my wifi adapter card on my 15-r264dx from just a wifi Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter to a 5mgz bluetooth combo card thats compatable

If you are going to add a second antenna, then you can upgrade to this card...

 

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0           HP Part # 710661-001

The card is readily available on eBay or Amazon.

 

Search by the HP part number, not by the model number of the wireless card.

 

Here is the link to the service manual.   Chapter 3, page 20 has the applicable antenna kit you can order.

Hi:

 

Before I can recommend a suitable dual band wifi adapter, I need you to open up the PC and tell me how many antenna cables are connected to the Realtek 8188EE wifi card that is installed.

 

Upgrading to a dual band wifi card with Bluetooth requires two antenna cables be connected to the card.

 

Here is the link to the service manual for your notebook, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure.

there is only 1 cable  but I am replacing cracked on cell touchscreen display so figured I'd add the other antenna.
