Hi:
Unfortunately, HP only has the service manual for the older 15s-eq0xxx model series with the Ryzen 3xxx processors.
Maintenance and Service Guide HP 15 Laptop PC
Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info and supported drive types.
Since your notebook comes with the AMD Ryzen™ 3 5300U processor, it may support more than 2 x 8 GB of memory.
You can do this to see how much memory your notebook can support...
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
Your notebook uses DDR4-3200 memory.

This is the best HP has posted: for the 15s-eq0xxx series but the layout is identical to yours. Yours uses DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM max 32 gigs or a pair of 16 gig modules and it will run at full -3200 speed. The only storage option is a single M.2 NVME slot and it has no capacity limit other then the largest you can buy. 2 TBs are common and would work fine.

Wmic shows that the laptop can handle up to 32 GB, as expected. Also, I'm planning the upgrade to a 1 TB SSD and hope it wouldn't cause any problem so far. It's a shame that HP is selling notebooks without providing manual and detailed specs.
Thanks to Paul_Tikkanen and Huffer!

You're very welcome.
Your notebook should support a 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD just fine.
Note that the M.2 slot is PCIe Gen 3.
