Solved!

Are these sata cables okay for a secondary hardrive update? (HP Pavillion dv7t-7000)

HP Pavillion dv7t-7000
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Are these cables okay? I just bought a 2tb hardrive ( not SSD) as my secondary hardrive. I noticed that I didn't have any SATA cables lying around, so I was looking at these two.

https://www.amazon.com/Power-Esata-eSATAp-Sata%EF%BC%8CHENGSHENG-eSATA/dp/B01FS3KP1C/ref=pd_lpo_vtph...

I also found this one:

https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Power-Esata-eSATAp-Cable/dp/B00HL87BQK/ref=pd_sbs_147_1?_encoding=UTF8...

Thank you.

No those are something entirely different. Lets you connect an external drive to an eSATA port on the outside of the chassis. eSATA ports have not been a "thing" for several years. No you need the internal caddy and proprietary cable like this:

Post back with any other questions but please accept as solution if this is the answer you needed.

Ah. I already have a caddy, so I'm trying to look for a cheaper version.

How about these:
