Are these cables okay? I just bought a 2tb hardrive ( not SSD) as my secondary hardrive. I noticed that I didn't have any SATA cables lying around, so I was looking at these two.

Yes those are just the cable part no caddy so are what you need.

No those are something entirely different. Lets you connect an external drive to an eSATA port on the outside of the chassis. eSATA ports have not been a "thing" for several years. No you need the internal caddy and proprietary cable like this:
