HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg0000 (9WF73AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was forced to upgrade BIOS to version 3.0 today (the h/wa sound during upgrade is so scary) see figure 1)

after the BIOS is upgrade, I check on the HP support application, the HP Firmware Pack (Intel Processors) F.30 still show as require to be installed as show in figure 2)

So, I try the upgrade but when it comes to BIT Locker waring show in figure 3) , I'm so scare to continue and click to cancel but it shows that the update is complete as in figure 4)  That's so weird.

My questions are

1) Has anyone have to update the HP Firmware Pack (Intel Processors) F.30 (sp139195.exe) -- s/w details show in figure 5)

Will Bit Locker cause the issue during or after the upgrade??

2) Do you have any idea why the cancle upgrade make the update become complete.  The s/w update seems so flaw.

Any idea is welcome.

I have hold all the update from HP (turn off) until I can fully back up my hard disk. I'm a bit lost trust that the update would not harm my data.  I do love my old Pavlion.. although it's old and slow but it make my life less tense that the new one. . .

I can't read a thing in the images, with the exception of #1, that you have posted?

They are way too blurry.

I have pinged a Moderator to see if this is a Forum bug or a problem with the images.

Thank you for your reply.. somehow I just feel wierd as I've mentioned that I got the machine since Jan this year and the lastest BIOSfirmware upgrade is luanched sine Marh, but it's never been forced to upgrade until I have opened case with HP support on April.

Anyway, I turn off all updates from HP until I can fully back up my Harddisk.

(My primary issue is on the Harddisk in which the bit locker has been turn off without my concent and by upgradeing the BIOS firmware, it give the scary warning on the posibly of having issue with the BIT LOCKER 😱, sorry the the attached figures are so blurry.don't know why, . reattached.. only the bit locker warning.. .. let's say I started to have trust issue with HP... may be the 3rd one I would try other brand  😓  becuase somehow still cannot change from Windows OS to other OS.. 😔... )
