Hello @nurse_becky

Thanks for reporting.

Do you have valid HP warranty ?

HP Recommended

unfortunately no, warranty was only until 2018.

Hello @nurse_becky

The following technical errors may be present:

- AC adapter (charger) defective -> Technican should do basic test with multimeter, if defective buy new charger

- Notebook charging socket defective -> Visual check if something is broken, pins broken/bent

- Battery dead / short-circuited -> Technican should disconnect/replace internal battery

- Motherboard short-circuited -> Technician should inspect and repair

In all cases => Service required !

You should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

Alternative:

If it can't be repaired or replacing the motherboard is too expensive, you should buy another notebook.

Kind regards
