Bluetooth mouse lags. Tried 3 different mouse still lags. Believe operating system or internal Bluetooth receiver not waking up fast.
HP Spectre x360 Convertible 14t-ea100 laptop
Windows 11 Home version 21H2 22000.527
11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1195G7 @ 2.90GHz 2.92 GHz
Ram 32gb
System BIOS F.25
Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics
HP Tech support said the Bluetooth Mouse is the problem, and not the New HP spectra x360 Convertible 14t laptop that I just bought. The problem I am having is the laptop internal Bluetooth receiver wants to go asleep or something. It takes a half a second to wake up build-in Bluetooth. "It lags". Once it’s awake then it’s fine as long as you move mouse around. When you don’t touch the mouse. The computer Bluetooth receiver falls asleep again after 4 seconds. Move the mouse again, ½ to 1 second later. The mouse curser wakes up again.
I have tried and returned "two HP Spectre Mouse" and then I bought a "Logitech MX anywhere 3 mouse" from BestBuy store and it did not help solve the problems. But.
It works great with a wireless Bluetooth dongle. Respond time is very fast. No lag at all.
The problem is that I need the one and only USB port for my backup hard drive. Now wish I had two USB Port not Just one. Also wish I kept the HP Spectre mouse 700 which I returned, thinking it was the problem. Most beautiful looking mouse.
Spending 10 hours with tech support and could not find what’s the problem. I end up sending back the computer.
Don’t know what to do this time. This is my second HP Spectre x360 Convertible 14t laptop computer and still having the same problem.
I hope the tech will find the problems. I looked into the HP Forum’s and found many are having these same “Bluetooth LAGS” issues and HP found no solution yet.

Does the issue not happen with the touchpad?
Try changing the mouse pointer speed in Bluetooth & Devices > Mouse settings.

Hi
Headphones Bluetooth has problem too.
Touch-pad works great. Tech support spent 4 hours today and load dozens of drivers. Tomorrow tech support will try to do a factory install. Got tired and ran out of time today.
I discover something new today while looking at videos. I hooked up my Bluetooth headphones and guest what? All devices that use the internal Bluetooth is going to have problems too.
I didn’t try my headphones on my first new laptop computer that I sent back which got replace with this computer. Anyway.
I pause the video and after 4 seconds I started the video again. The sound was not in-sync to the video. So, I play with it. If you pause the video less than 1 second. It will be-in-sync this time. Pause again for 4 seconds, sound not in-sync. Flip Flop.
It acted just like the mouse did. So that tells me it must be the internal Bluetooth module. Just want to let you know I used the Bluetooth headphone on my wife computer, no problem at all.
Both laptop computers are HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 14-100. First one was sent back and replace with another one.

Thanks you so much for helping me in HP community. I have a HP Spectre 360 convertible 14in laptop with Bluetooth mouse lag. It drove me crazy that no one can help me. I finally found the answer in the HP Community. Someone said to turn off power management on the finger print sensor. here are the steps.
- Press Windows Key + X and choose Device Manager from the list 2. When Device Manager opens, locate your fingerprint reader. It should be located in Biometric Devices section. 3.Right click your fingerprint reader and choose Properties 4. Navigate to Power Management tab and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
It work 🙂

Power management won't stay uncheck after i reboot computer.
ELAN WBF Fingerprint Sensor Properties
Power Management
[Uncheck] Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
It did solve the lag on my Bluetooth mouse after i uncheck finger print sensor power management. BUT,
after i reboot computer it turn on power management again. maybe you can help me keep it "uncheck permanently".
