I have an HP Envy with a broken left hinge and when i took it to a auth repair facility they said they couldn't find the parts to fix it - that we needed the hinge and the back cover. How do i get around unable to find the parts? It was one of the authorized repair facilities in this area (Grand Rapids, Michigan). My daughter is borrowing a MacBook to get her through the semester but very stressful. Unfortunately the 3 repair facilities are all the same franchise so I'm feeling they are a lost cause.
As a retired HP employee, I do try to keep using their products. Our Notebook is just out of warranty - bought in 11/2021.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
