Buggy s2idle in HP EliteBook 845 G7 Notebook PC in linux . Also s3 is not available at bios . That's why

The HP EliteBook 845 G7 Notebook PC shows buggy s2idle behavior on Linux. The system enters s2idle but experiences excessive battery drain and unreliable suspend/resume and crashes.

Additionally, the legacy S3 sleep state is not available in the BIOS/UEFI settings. Since S3 is completely disabled by firmware, Linux is forced to use s2idle (Modern Standby), which appears to be improperly implemented on this device
