Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to add a traditional 2.5 inch drive but it only comes with an nvme m.2 ssd is it possible to do so if it is what do I need

These parts are listed in the Manual:

 

(16b) Hard drive bracket (not available as a spare part)
(16c) Hard drive cable L56898-001

 

Manual 

 

Look at pages 32-38 for instructions. The bracket is not available but the drive can be mounted inside the laptop by using rubber drive rails which will hold it in place. You absolutely have to find the cable. No other way to attach the drive to the motherboard. You need an ultraslim 7mm drive; a 9.5 mm will not fit. 

 

I checked the HP Parts Store and eBay and could not find the cable. If you are really interested, post back and we can try a deeper dive into the parts supply chain.

Thank you for your help in this I only just ordered this laptop and have not yet received it but the lack of available information is a bit astounding I found this cable on Amazon do you think it would be compatible with the gaming pavillion it says it is with the hp pavillion x360
