HP Notebook - 17-ca1065cl
Microsoft Windows 11

The case of the laptop is cracked and somehow the charging port thing just popped out. Can I pop it back in or is my laptop done forever?

Its on a wire pigtail that plugs into the motherboard so possible to reattach.

Service Manual

Part 6 on p. 17.

P. 55 shows how to reattach. It will require disassembly; a little more than popping it back in and it likely took a good pull to get it dislodged so it may be damaged. Take a good look at it before trying to reuse so it does not cause any shorts.
