I’m trying to get a better psu for the 800 g2 because I’m upgrading it to become a gaming pc on a budget I’m a noob to this kind of stuff but I can’t find any information online so maybe someone can help me

Well, yes, as a matter of fact, according to HP PartSurfer ("Click Here To See The List Of HP Products That Part Number Is Used In"), the 400-watt power supply with p/n: 796416-001 "400W power supply - 92% energy efficient 12V 5OUT" associated with an HP Z240 system is also compatible with an HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Tower.
