Need an ALTERNATE REPLACEMENT CLICKPAD to replace synaptics. poor hardware, poor quality, poor design. Now has a mind of its own - selects, unselects, grabs, drops, etc. randomly and intermittently. Now is UNUSABLE as it causes all kinds of problems like moving files, folders around and losing them in other folders, etc. This is 2ND synaptics clickpad in about 3 years. It is extremely unreliable and prone to hardware issues (the two plates cannot maintain a gap between them and so touch and generate mouse actions that are unwanted and uncommanded. I need a part that will last for over 10 years, like the one on my ASUS laptop. I went around and around at hp.com trying to get to some help. It is a circular room with no door. Anybody from HP land got any input?
