Hi,
I have tried to connect my mobiles to my laptop for data transfer via USB-c to USB-c cables. The mobile charges when connected but the data connection rapidly connects/disconnects in a constant cycle.
This is the same with different cables and phones.
if I connect via the USB-C connection on the phone to a USB 3 port on the laptop it works without issue.
Can anyone say if this is a fault or is a data connection to a mobile phone via the USB-C port on the laptop not possible? The instruction manual suggests that it should work
thanks
UPDATE: Heard from HP support, the USB-C port does not support data transfer and should be used for power output only.
