Why is it IMPOSSIBLE to contact a live person at Hewlett Packard since my warranty has expired? I've tried for the last three months, everything I can think of, to contact ANYONE at HP and can't get ANYWHERE. Is there a secret way to do it? I need some help, really some questions, with my DVD player/burner in my Hp 15-bs212wm, product number 3TT16UA#ABA with the driver "hp DVD  GUE1N. Why won't anyone talk to me? I am sorry you are in this situation.

 

The Short Version Answer

An expired warranty means that you do not have access to Warranty services.

HP Support is dedicated to provided Warranty services for those owners whose devices are in Warranty.

The standard Warranty covers a limited number of hardware issues for the time the Warranty is active.

Extended Warranty coverage, including that provided in various Care Pack contracts, varies with the contract.

 

What about the rest of us?

You can ask your question here in the Community.

We are Not Warranty support - in fact, we are not a working department within HP.

We do work for free - this is a bonus for those no longer in warranty who need advice.

 

We are few - your question is one of many thousands.

To increase the chances of receiving a response,

when / if you submit a question for our consideration,

Include a short subject line to help identify the issue.

In the message do provide as much detail as possible.

Check the Warranty on your product

         Warranty Check – Single or Multiple Devices

 

NOTE:  Warranty date is updated after purchase and registration of the device.

If the device is not registered, or if there are other issues, submit a Warranty Dispute form.

 

       NOTE 2:  If the single-system-check fails to find your device, use the "multiple devices" method to

check single or multiple devices.

 

  • If necessary, Select your Country on the main website page or at the bottom (click Flag)
  • Scroll down > To the right of Check multiple warranties, Click Continue
  • Enter the Serial Number and Country for one or more devices / systems to be checked
  • Check the box to verify you are "Not a robot"
  • Click Submit (at bottom of list entries)
  • When the page opens, Click View Details

 

Reminder: Online database results do not impact the actual contract.
