I put on a new DC jack and mixed the polarities. My laptop went on for one second and then went off. When I plug it in not with the correct polarity nothing happens. The battery doesn't charge, the indicator led's don't turn on. Nothing. I have a HP 15-ac003tx Laptop. I really hope this is fixable. Please help.

Hi.
It only has one way in, how could you mix this up ? Anyway, most likely your machine was fried.

Is it a home made DC jack ? Standard jacks would never have this mixed up.
Regards.
