Product: HP Probook 450 g5
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I saw that HP Probook 450 G5 has an option to come with a dedicated gpu (Specifically the Geforce 930mx), are they soldered down or can it be added/replaced?
My HP Probook 450 G5 doesn't have a discrete gpu, only Intel uhd 620 graphics which suck is there anything I can do to add one?

Yes, the graphics adapters are integral parts of the motherboard.

 

You would have to replace the existing motherboard with the ones that come with the GeForce 930mx graphics adapter that are listed in chapter 3 of the service manual.

 

HP ProBook 450 G5 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

You would also need to install the different heat sink and fan that is used for notebooks with the Nvidia graphics.

 

You would also need the 65W power adapter if your notebook came with the 45W one.

 

It would be cheaper to buy a previously owned Probook 450 G5 that already comes with the Nvidia graphics than to upgrade yours.
