Product: Pavilion cx0500nd
Operating System: Linux

I want to buy a dock for my laptop and was wondering if the thunderbolt dock g2 works with it. I'm specifically talking about the connector cable and if it will charge the laptop.

 

The laptop is a Pavilion cx0500nd running a dual boot main  fedora 31 and secondary windows 10

Is it an HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0500nd ? Its specs

You can see t foes NOT have Thunderbolt port therefore the thunderbolt dock g2 is definitely NOT compatible. It only has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge) port.

 

You machine does NOT have docking port therefore the option is to use USB dock.
