Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I'm wondering if my laptop, HP Notebook - 14-cf0006dx  has a CMOS battery? How can I find out without opening up the laptop? I looked at the 'maintenance & service guide' manual, but couldn't find any results for CMOS battery. Thank you kindly.

Hi:

 

Your notebook does not have a Real TIme Clock (RTC) (CMOS) battery.

 

CMOS batteries in notebooks are referred to as RTC batteries.

 

The internal main battery in your notebook serves as the RTC battery.

 

You will find no RTC battery in the parts list in chapter 3 of the service manual, and no procedure to remove or replace the RTC battery.

If you look at this manual for a HP notebook I randomly selected, you can see that this model series has a RTC battery.
