Listen I cant with the virtual thing I have questions need someone live ok now my product is out of warranty how can I get more memory can i install it or shiuld I think about getting another tablet I got it in Feb of 2018 there is a piece broke ok it when you open it up the front piece is broke should I get new warranty or invest in getting a newer one?

No worries, my phone also does what it wants.

 

I am sorry you think you are getting the runaround.

 

It is getting more complicated - used to be you could pick up the phone to talk to HP and you were talking to HP.  No longer is this the case.  Too many scams, troublemakers, liars, and other vermin have ruined the simple way of doing business for HP and may other companies.

 

Everybody has to submit a case online to get started - those of us who volunteer at the Community do it this way, too.   The USA and Canada have been doing it this way for a while - other HP Tech Support centers in other countries are starting to do it this way.  

 

HP does display the contact phone number you after submit your case.

The cost and difficulty of the repair depend on the model of the computer, what is broken, and the extent of any other possible damage.

 

Whether you can fix the computer yourself depends on your skill level, the extent of the damage, and whether you can get the necessary parts.

Once the hardware warranty is no longer active, it cannot be extended.

You might be able to purchase a separate warranty that provides certain services.

READ before you commit - do not purchase something you do not understand.

For example,

Your computer is already broken - damage, even covered damage, sustained prior to the purchase of the contract, is probably not covered.

There is no Toll Free number for contacting HP - if you see one posted in the Community, it is likely a scam.  Keep that in mind when you are looking for answers.  These rats squeeze through the cracks sometimes to try to trick the unwary.

After you submit your case, a local phone contact for your region and any other contact options will be displayed.

 

HP has final say whether / when / how services are provided.

HP has final say over the cost of any services.

HP has final say over what issues are covered by product warranty and the extent of that coverage.

Reminders

  • Use the serial number of the device to submit the case (do not post that information on the Community).

 

  • Chat is not available in every region. In those areas where Chat is an option, Chat service hours are likely restricted.  In the event that Chat is not available in your region:  Call the number provided in the HP directory, else submit your case online (to receive phone contact information)

 

  • HP will advise you there is a fee for phone support and / or other services when your computer / device is no longer under warranty.  This is normal business practice.

 

  • HP may tell you that certain services are not covered under warranty.  This is normal business practice.  Standard Warranty typically covers specific hardware issues as explained in the Warranty contract. Care Pack coverage and warranties differ by package.

Recently, HP has seen an increased number of third-party support websites selling HP driver downloads or diagnostic tools. Many of these websites use the HP trademark symbol and claim to be official HP distributors.

 

If your product supports your operating system, HP offers your driver and software at no additional cost through the HP website.

 

Use caution when dealing with any website that asks you to pay for HP driver downloads or tools that claim to diagnose your HP products. These websites might not be affiliated with HP in any way.

 

Do not install BIOS updates from a motherboard manufacturer's website. Only install BIOS updates from HP. Installing BIOS updates from the motherboard manufacturer can prevent the computer from accepting an HP system recovery. This could result in a loss of data.

Wait a minute so these arebt real 1800 numbers cause I have a damage in my computer laptop abd they told me they woyld have fed ex to pick it v up rhen said they didnt have . the part that I would have to get a didfferent device now some guy delish called telling me to go to hp 123 .com ok put 8n pin six digit ok that sounded fake but I'm doing it on phone not laptop last time i did it this guy was 9n my camera trying to see me and read me info the guy I spike to yesterday was clueless knew nothing told me to take my laptop hp 15 272wm to best buy and that it only van hold 64 memory I dint know these folks are from other countries and lack knowledge on computers

Sounds like...

I think you perhaps talked to someone who told you to go to a fake 123 site and enter your information.

 

The only way to reach HP is to go through HP Support site link.

 

To make it worse, there are a few scammers out there that try to send community posts and emails that contain a link that is named HP but the actual link URL is NOT HP.    Not sure?  Hover over the link name and read the URL content (displayed at the bottom of your browser).  Our community stops these rodents as soon as they are discovered.

"Weird 123 site wants your information"

There is only one legitimate 123 site and it is for downloading drivers - only for drivers - and there is no phone number to call for help - there is no "guy getting into your computer", there is no promise to help you if you would just enter a magic code and / or give your credit card number.  These fake sites are all over the Internet.

 

For those reading:

 

The official HP 123 site is where you can find the appropriate (and free) software and drivers for your printer.

 

The official HP 123 site is not a website where odd chat boxes pop up on the screen and someone tries to offer you "Services" if you would just give out your credit card and information. Not.

 

The "Real Deal"

Beware of Fake 123 printer sites

  • There are several “fake” sites listed (in search engines) for “123” – please make sure you are using the actual “HP” site.

 

  • Notice the website address – the real HP site does not contain any extra verbiage. For example, there is no “setup” or other extra bits in the address.

 

  • HP websites are the only websites allowed to use the HP copyright circle/logo.  Look for the copyright on any website claiming to be HP. If in doubt, scroll to the bottom of the Website to find HP copyright logo. Example:  “© Copyright <year> HP Development Company, L.P.”

 

  • If you are asked for money to correct "issues" on your computer OR if the “help” wants to log into your computer, you are using a “fake” site. Do not give these people your information!

Thanks no that's my problem this stupid . phone misspells words bad I have a LG 630 escape my keyboard on laptop messes up to I did checl language settibgs its just messeed up.
