Dear all,
After reverting to Windows 8.1 on an HP 655 computer, the device manager is indicating that (what I believe is) the LAN adapter isn't working. It is saying that the BIOS needs upgrading (code 35). I downloaded a file (sp66770.exe) from the HP support site that is supposed to do just that, and when I was installing it, it was saying "Failed to extract cab" - apparently an error message that has plagued others already. I actually downloaded that file using the Firefox and the Opera browsers, and in both cases it didn't work. What to do?
I personally think there is a mismatch of the formatting of that file and of what is expected by the installation software.
